Understanding the
CDCP
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal program aimed at providing dental benefits to Canadians without existing dental insurance and with a household income under $90,000 annually.
Your CDCP plan reviews your financial criteria annually. You will be invited to renew your application after April 30 of each year once you have filed your income tax return and know what your assessed income for the year is. If you overlook this step, you will have a lapse in coverage after June 30 and coverage will not resume until you complete a new application. Due to this, your percentage of coverage can vary from year to year. We encourage you to sign up for a My Service Canada Account to be able to track your application and approval letters.
